Furthermore, the notification area icon of Power Plan Assistant can replace the system Power icon entirely, offering more comprehensive information such as battery level, active power plan (indicated by the color of the battery icon), and power source status (indicated by the cap of the battery icon). This replacement icon provides greater precision and functionality compared to the system Power icon.Power Plan Assistant also offers automatic power plan switching based on user preferences. Users can configure the software to switch to the 'Power Saver' plan to conserve energy when the battery power is running low (the threshold is customizable). On plugging in the power source, the software can switch to the 'High Performance' or 'Balanced' plan, while on unplugging, it can switch to 'Balanced' or 'Power Saver' plan automatically. In addition to power plan management, Power Plan Assistant allows users to perform various actions with ease. Users can instantly power off the display, lock the workstation, and more without the need to click a single button. Steps we could try to fix the issue: On most laptop keyboards, you’ll find shortcut keys that allow you to quickly increase and decrease your brightness. Often, these keys are part of the row of F-keys–that’s F1 through F12–that appear above the number row on your keyboard. To adjust the screen brightness, look for an icon that corresponds to brightness–often a sun logo or something similar–and press the keys. Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options, then click on "Change plan settings" next to your active power plan. Click on "Change advanced power settings." Scroll down to Display, then under Enable adaptive brightness, switch it off for both the battery and plugged in modesHope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance. Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. @AA127 Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help! I see you are experiencing hibernation issues with the HP Pavilion Laptop it randomly turns on in hibernate mode. I have a few recommendations Update your Notebook computer to the latest BIOS from HP.COM. Make sure the Windows and HP support assistant updates are up to date. In the plan settings, expand “Sleep”, then “Allow wake timers.” Here, disable all the options to shut off both wake timers on your system and any installed on your computer in the future If you don’t want your PC to wake itself without your permission Right click the Start button and click Control Panel and now click “Power Options” here. If you’re using Category view, you’ll have to click “Hardware and Sound” before clicking “Power Options.” Click “Change Advanced Power Settings” In the plan settings, expand “Sleep”, then “Allow wake timers.” Here, disable all the options to shut off both wake timers on your system and any installed on your computer in the future. If you use a laptop, you may see variants on this option depending on if you’re on battery or if you’re plugged in. Set these both to “Disable” should you never want your laptop to awaken from sleep by itself. Hope this helps! Keep me posted. Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution. Click on the YES button to reply that the response was helpful and/or to say “Thank You”. Have a great day!
