When you sync all of your MasterCook for Windows data to MasterCook.com you have a backup in the cloud at MasterCook.com. If your computer gets damaged or stolen, you data is safely stored online as well. This makes it great when you get a new computer. In MasterCook 22 and greater, you can reset nutritional links per ingredient, recipe, and cookbook. If you created your recipes in a previous version of MasterCook and linked some of their ingredients to ingredients within that version of MasterCook, it prevents the newer version from using its own ingredient database.If you see an icon along the left side of the ingredient row with the letter "I" in a red circle it indicates that the ingredient is linked to one in a previous version of MasterCook. The newer version of MasterCook is unable to use its own ingredient when you have them linked to an ingredient in a previous version. Furthermore, in the Nutrition tab of the Recipe Edit screen, the ingredient will be listed as an Unknown Item. See the first screenshot below.Once you reset the ingredient nutritional links, then the newer version of MasterCook can use its own ingredients, or you can link them to an ingredient in the newer version of MasterCook's Ingredient List. How do I import my recipes from Living Cookbook?You can import your recipes and their photos and any categories assigned to those recipes. Nothing else can transfer. You have two options. You can either (1) use tools provided by others to convert your files or (2) you can purchase a 2nd Level Support Ticket if you would like MasterCook to convert your recipes for you.At the end of this article are links explaining features in MasterCook which will help in your transition from Living Cookbook.1.
